Night Trips 1

Synopsis:

The wonderfully sensual Tori Welles can't sleep. She's plagued by an onslaught of sexual images so she goes to a clinic to get treatment by a premier sex therapist and the mind scan imager. With this device, the medical staff (and us) can see all of the erotic dreams that plague Tori. This slow, deeply erotic flick by David Entertainment is blessed by the voluptuous Tori Welles at it's center and we, the viewers, are blessed by visions of Tori's center! Trust me.

Commentary:

If only there was such a thing as the mind scan imager. Think of the things that would be revealed if you could see into other's dream. If you looked in mine tonight, I am certain you would see Tori Welles. She is a beautiful, erotic and sensual actress. She fills up the screen whenever she appears and, luckily for us, she appears quite frequently in Night Trips. We start off by entering Tori's first dream of the evening and observe Tori observing a couple making love in a living room somewhere. This is portrayed in line with the style that permeates this film...slow and sensual. Starting with an ice cube caressing the women's neck until the ice, uh, cools her very insides; this scene feels like we are actually watching love making as opposed to just sex. Keep in mind that as this dream unfolds, Tori is in the clinic masturbating (constantly) and we get to observe her manipulations. She has quite the technique.

In dream number two, Peter North delivers his goods in a very convincing fashion. The problem with the scene for me was that the director chose to add a deep blue tint to the scene, so we would know it was a dream. It was effective in terms of the plot but was a bit distracting in terms of the sex. Which was a shame because from what I could see, this was a very hot scene. Tori's third dream drags one of the female doctors into the mix, as well as another hot blonde, for a girl-girl-girl segment. And each girl manages to get her segment treated very nicely.

We then see several more of Tori's dreams, all the while checking back to watch Tori masturbating her way through life (appropriate for when this review was posted, National Masturbation Month - May). One dream is a nice interracial segment that features a, uh, very well endowed guy showing why masturbation has it's limits. Unfortunately, that dream segment is shot in sepia like colors which, like the blue scene, is effective in letting us know it's a dream but is a bit off putting in terms of the action.

Tori finally is exhausted (her fingers must be dead tired!) and goes home only to receive a special dosage of medicine from the clinic's male physician. Yes, Tori needs to swallow this medication and yes, she doesn't hesitate. That's our Tori....good to the last drop (forgive me).

DVD Perspectives:

This David Entertainment DVD has excellent quality images. The colors were particularly compelling and you can just fall into Tori's eyes. The music was perfect for the tone the director was trying to set for this flick. The chapter search worked well and the full color catalogue included with the disc was appreciated.

Intangibles:

I must give an extra star for a beauty of Tori's caliber. She's the essence of female sensuality, at least in this film.
