House of Dreams

Synopsis:

This DVD transfer of a 1990 film by Andrew Blake is a sexy, beautifully photographed film that uses many unique styles to accomplish the vision of the director. It's a film about a dreamer and the erotic dreams she lives in. The film itself is slow and dreamlike, mimicking the dreamer. This may put off some used to the primarily hectic pace of today's films but if you have the patience to enter it's mood, The House of Dreams is stunning.

Commentary:

The lovely Zara White is the dreamer in this house. We open with her entering the dream state and opening her dark passage with her fingers. As she manipulates herself she literally splits in two, as her dreaming self leaves the body to explore the rest of the structure. The first room she enters features a magnificently photographed segment between 2 women and one guy that is filmed using deep day glow colors of purple and orange. As the bodies entwine, the colors mesh together in deep dark tones. This is a must see segment for those that love purple pussies.

The film also strays into the underbelly of sexual fetishes with some very prolonged foot fetish moments. This bit of work also includes a rare treat of a the guy shooting his payload all over the woman's feet and high heels! Something hard to find for those foot fetishists out there. We also get into a nice dominatrix scene complete with riding crop, foot worship and a wonderful mouthpiece. The mouthpiece fits in the mouth of one of our lovely ladies and protrudes, dildo like, about six inches. As this gentle S & M segment unfolds, the woman penetrates and screws the dominatrix with her mouthpiece. As she enters and withdraws, her nose gently rests against the other woman's anus. This device is fun to watch and may give some of you ideas for your next mother's day gift. Not.

There is no dialog in this film and it wanders from one dream like segment to the next. The women are all gorgeous and the camera work of such high quality, it will make you feel at times like you are watching a photo shoot from a top level fashion magazine. The only difference here being the fact that all is revealed, spread open for your viewing pleasure.

DVD Perspectives:

Pretty basic in terms of extras, just chapter search. The images lack the sharp clarity of direct video transfers. The sound was excellent and featured a soothing jazz score that fit perfectly with the dreamlike images on the screen.

Intangibles:

It's a bit different and broke ground for further experimentation in the adult field.
