Latex

Synopsis:

Latex was made before, and is the prequel to, Shock. If you read the review of Shock on these pages you know that we thought it was one of the finest adult films ever made. Latex, too, is a wonderful film but not quite in the same league as Shock. Director Michael Ninn must have decided, after making Latex, to go that one extra step with Shock because it is clearly a more mature work. That said, Latex can stand on it's own against the best of 'em and after watching it, parts of your body will stand alone as well!

Commentary:

In Shock we explored the inner workings of the mind of Malcom Stevens. In Latex we learn the how's and why's behind Steven's incarceration in the Noble Asylum and see the "therapy" that ultimately leads to Shock. The main difference between the 2 discs is that Latex is a bit more tame, both in terms of the images that dwell in Steven's mind and the sex that he observes from his mental perch. For you see, he can see the minds and souls of those he touches and learn their sexual secrets.

Now I don't know about you, but most people I know have quite a few sexual secrets and would be quite upset to have them revealed. So, too, in this flick... everyone has secret fantasies and it is those fantasies we explore. The sex in Latex is very hot and maybe a bit more frequent than in Shock. We have a wonderful segment in a 1950's style kitchen (existing in Steven's mind, of course) where the lovely housewife offers her spread legs as dinner for her salivating husband. He quickly gobbles up her turkey then bastes her. Scene after scene unfold before us and images of shiny black latex clad women are never more than a few moments away. Fortunately for us, the latex has strategic openings for our view. All the women in this film are hot, pure and simple, but the platinum wigged dancers really captured my attention (literally). With their skin tight latex dresses, every move and wiggle is accented. When they lift the tops of their outfits and their perfectly formed tits explode onto the screen, you'll be reaching for the freeze button on your remote. The wonders of DVD allow for perfect frozen images of those perfect tits. Frame by frame you can explore each curve. The power of Steven's mind grants an eternity of sexual delight for those he touches, the power of DVD will grant hours of sexual delights for us because of it's crystal clear, slow motion capabilities.

DVD Perspectives:

The image quality and sound were superior. The Dolby Stereo was wonderful in this film rich with original music. Because of the heavy dose of computer generated images and other special effects in this flick, DVD and it's superiority over taped images is clearly the way to go.

Intangibles:

I know that if I hadn't seen Shock first I would be going off on how good this movie is like a raving lunatic. It features a great story line, awesome sex with red hot women, great visuals and wonderful music. Like Shock, its not for those that want a simple straight porn. This film has meat to it and if you watch it, you will definitely be doing your meat a big favor
