ReviewsThe biggest fault with this excellent pornification of cult franchise The X-Files is that it got branded a "parody," when it's nothing of the kind ... "dark" or otherwise. To the contrary, this is an utterly straight, dramatic reincarnation of the X-Files universe with different actors and hardcore sex.
Thanks to the producers' much-touted use of the cutting edge Red One camera for this project, it has a stunningly rich look that truly stands up as nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. At least as important though, writer/director Sam Hain's sharp script and expert helmsmanship make it feel not that far off from the real thing, too.
